Dubai has opened a new three-lane bridge, part of the ongoing efforts by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to improve traffic flow across the city. The 700-meter bridge, connecting Zaa’beel Palace Street to Al Khail Road via Oud Metha Road, is expected to ease congestion, accommodating up to 4,800 vehicles per hour.

Importance of this bridge

This development is a key component of the RTA’s Dh700-million road improvement project, which was first announced in February this year.

The bridge is a crucial part of RTA’s Dh700-million road improvement project, which was launched earlier this year in February. As part of the plan, five new bridges will be constructed to alleviate traffic pressure on key highways and roads. Once the entire project is completed, travel time is expected to be reduced by 30%.

Location

The initiative covers several locations in Dubai, including Zabeel, Meydan, Al Quoz 1, Ghadeer Al Tair, and Jumeirah Village Circle, all aimed at ensuring smoother and more efficient traffic flow across the city.
